3. Giant Wooden Wonky Block Tower Hire

All customer collections and returns are by pre-arranged appointment.

Your confirmed collection and return times will be provided with your booking.

Single Day Hire: Collect from 9am onwards on your hire date and return by 10am the following day.

Weekend Hire: Collect Friday between 12pm–6pm and return Monday between 9am–12pm.

Alternative arrangements may be available by prior agreement.

Refundable Security Deposit

All Wonky Donkey Event Hire bookings require a refundable security deposit. This is separate from the hire charge and is held for the duration of your hire.

Single Game Hire – £50 refundable deposit

Multiple Game Hire – £100 refundable deposit

Your deposit is fully refundable, provided all hired equipment is returned:

• By the agreed return date and time

• In the same condition in which it was supplied, allowing for reasonable wear and tear

• With all parts, accessories, balls, equipment and other supplied items present

• Reasonably clean and ready for inspection

Returning Your Equipment

Your agreed return date and time will be confirmed with your booking. Please ensure that all equipment is returned by this time.

Once returned, we will check the equipment and its contents. Provided everything is present and undamaged, your security deposit will be refunded in full within 48 hours of your scheduled return date and time.

Please allow additional time for the refund to appear in your account, as processing times can vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

Damage or Missing Equipment

We understand that our games are there to be played and enjoyed, and normal wear and tear is expected.

However, if equipment is returned damaged beyond reasonable wear and tear, has parts or accessories missing, or requires exceptional cleaning, we reserve the right to deduct the reasonable cost of repair, replacement or cleaning from the security deposit.

If a deduction is necessary, we will let you know what has been deducted and why.

Where the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing damaged or missing equipment exceeds the security deposit, the hirer will be responsible for the additional reasonable cost.

Equipment Not Returned

If hired equipment is not returned at the agreed time, please contact us as soon as possible.

Late returns may affect another customer's booking and may therefore incur additional hire charges.

Equipment that is not returned and where no alternative return arrangement has been agreed may result in the security deposit being retained and the hirer being charged the reasonable replacement cost of the outstanding equipment.

Cancellations

The refundable security deposit should not be confused with your hire payment or our cancellation policy.

The security deposit protects the hired equipment and is refundable following its safe return. Any cancellation or refund of the hire charge itself will be dealt with separately under our booking and cancellation terms.

Customer Collection – FREE

Most of our Wonky Donkey games are available for FREE customer collection and return from NR15 1PN

Your agreed collection and return times will be confirmed with your booking. Please ensure that you have a suitable vehicle for the equipment being hired – some of our games are considerably more giant than others!

Local Delivery

Delivery within 10 miles of NR15 1PN – £15

Collection within 10 miles of NR15 1PN – £15

Choose both services and we'll deliver your games before your event and return to collect them afterwards for £30.

Delivery and collection charges are separate because they require two individual journeys on different occasions.

Outside Our 10-Mile Area

We may also be able to deliver further afield.

For locations more than 10 miles from us (NR15 1PN), an additional mileage charge of 50p per mile applies beyond the included 10-mile radius.

Additional mileage is calculated using the round-trip mileage for each delivery or collection journey.

If both delivery and collection are required, additional mileage applies to both journeys.

Please contact us before booking if you're outside our standard delivery area so we can confirm availability and the total delivery/collection charge.

Important Information

Delivery and collection means transporting the hired equipment to and from your address. Unless specifically included with your chosen game or package, our rentals are supplied on a dry-hire basis and do not include event staffing.

Someone must be available at the agreed address and time to receive or return the equipment.

We understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel your Wonky Donkey Event Hire booking, please let us know as soon as possible.

Our games and equipment are reserved specifically for you and are removed from availability for other customers once your booking is confirmed. The following cancellation terms therefore apply to the hire charges paid:

More than 14 days before your hire date - You will receive a full refund of your hire charges.

Between 7 and 14 days before your hire date - You will receive a 50% refund of your hire charges.

Less than 7 days before your hire date - Unfortunately, hire charges are non-refundable, as it may not be possible for us to rehire the equipment at short notice.

Refundable Security Deposits

Your refundable security deposit is separate from your hire charge.

If a booking is cancelled before the equipment has been collected or delivered, your security deposit will always be refunded in full, regardless of when the cancellation takes place.

Delivery & Collection Charges

Where delivery or collection has been booked but has not yet taken place, any delivery or collection charges paid will be refunded in full.

Once a delivery or collection journey has commenced or been completed, the associated charge is non-refundable.

Changing Your Booking

Need to change the date rather than cancel completely? Please contact us as soon as possible.

Where possible, we will be happy to transfer your booking to another available date rather than cancel it. Date changes are subject to equipment availability and may be limited for changes requested at short notice.

If your replacement date requires different equipment, delivery arrangements or hire periods, any difference in price will be payable or refunded as appropriate.

Bad Weather

Many Wonky Donkey Event Hire games can be used outdoors, but unfortunately we can't control the wonderfully unpredictable British weather!

Bad weather alone does not automatically entitle a booking to a refund. Customers are responsible for making suitable arrangements for their event and for checking whether their chosen games are suitable for the expected conditions.

However, if severe weather makes the use of the equipment unsafe, please contact us. Wherever reasonably possible, we will try to help by moving your booking to another available date.

Equipment must not be used where weather or ground conditions could make its use unsafe or cause damage.

If We Have to Cancel

In the unlikely event that Wonky Donkey Event Hire is unable to provide equipment that you have booked, we will offer a suitable alternative where possible.

If no suitable alternative can be agreed, you will receive a full refund for the affected equipment, together with any associated delivery/collection charges and security deposit.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

How to Cancel

Please contact us directly if you need to cancel or change your booking. Your cancellation will take effect when we receive your request.

Any refund due under this policy will be returned to the original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process the refund.

All Wonky Donkey Event Hire dry-hire bookings require a refundable security deposit. This is separate from your hire charge and is held as security while our games and equipment are in your care.

The security deposit is charged per booking, not per game, so if you're hiring several of our games together, you only pay one £100 security deposit.

Getting Your Deposit Back

Your security deposit will be refunded in full provided all hired equipment is:

• Returned by the agreed date and time

• Returned in the same condition in which it was supplied, allowing for reasonable wear and tear

• Complete, with all supplied parts, balls, accessories and equipment present

• Reasonably clean and free from excessive dirt or contamination
  

Once your equipment has been returned, we'll check and count everything. Your security deposit will be refunded within 48 hours of your scheduled return date and time, provided everything is present and undamaged.

Please allow additional time for the refund to appear in your account depending on your bank or payment provider.

Damage, Loss or Missing Items

Our games are designed to be played and enjoyed, so normal wear and tear is expected.

However, if equipment is lost, not returned, returned with missing parts, or damaged beyond reasonable wear and tear, we reserve the right to deduct the reasonable cost of cleaning, repair or replacement from the security deposit.

If a deduction is required, we'll let you know what has been deducted and why.

Where the cost of repairing or replacing lost or damaged equipment exceeds the security deposit, the hirer will be responsible for the additional reasonable cost.
